Job Description

We are seeking a new Digital Library Manager to lead the procurement and management of our scholarly content in a range of formats, including reporting on impact and return on investment. The post holder will lead a small team and work closely with all relevant library staff to ensure that collections and digital library services reflect UEL’s diverse learning, teaching and research needs. You will also work closely with IT Services, in particular ensuring that our library management system (Alma) supports efficient and effective working.

You will be educated to degree level with experience of managing and developing library collections, including experience of managing contracts and licences. Knowledge of current developments and innovative practices in academic publishing and content delivery, with the ability to navigate this complex and changing landscape to deliver value for money is essential. Excellent technical knowledge, including experience of using library management systems to manage collections is also essential.

A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by UEL Professional Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEL.
