Job Description

The University of Bath Library has a vacancy for a suitably qualified Librarian, working in the field of Cataloguing and Metadata. This position is available as a result of a secondment of the permanent post-holder.

Line-managing a small team, you would lead on the cataloguing (AACR2 and RDA, MARC 21) and e-book metadata management for the Library. Chief contacts would include the Library's Systems Librarian, the Acquisitions team and the Subject Librarian team, working together to provide the best possible information discovery experience for Library users.

The Library uses Ex Libris' Alma Library Management System and its resource discovery layer, Primo. Part of the role would involve training your team in the efficient and accurate use of these tools and maintaining consistency of practice.

Access to generous staff development opportunities would be available and you would be encouraged to join wider Library initiatives and projects.

This is a fixed term position until 17th March 2019. We will consider applicants wishing to apply on a job-share basis.
