We need a dynamic, talented people leader who’s seeking an exciting challenge:

Transform the FIRST Public Library (1841) into the BEST Public Library by 2023.

From implementing our strategic vision to contributing to the upcoming redevelopment of our main library, and leading the operations of our Library team, this is a unique role. We want to ensure these public spaces continue to meet the needs of our community now and into the future.

You will be passionate about improving literacy and the role of libraries in delivering life-long learning opportunities. High energy, excellent communication and the ability to think strategically are important in this position.

Your leadership skills will be used to support the Team Leaders to provide the day-to-day operational management of our three public libraries. You’ll also contribute as part of the wider leadership team across Council and deliver change in a library environment, aligned with our vision.

• be a strategic thinker who can translate ideas into achievement.
