Children’s Librarian - Hornsey Library

SO1, £26,400 - £28,032 per annum

• Do you know your Lauren Child from your Lucy Cousins?
• Do you know your ‘Five Little Speckled Frogs’ from your ‘Five Little Ducks’?
• Do you know your 922’s from your 364’s?

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and energetic Children’s Librarian whose passion is working with children and young people, based in our busiest children’s library.

Can you manage staff and a lively Children’s Library Service from birth to teens?
Including storytimes, rhyme-times, drop-ins, craft activities, school visits, book groups, liaising with local pre-school settings and running local and national literacy initiatives like the Premier League Reading Stars (PLRS) and the Summer Reading Challenge?

As part of the interview process, candidates are asked to prepare a picture book to read from and a nursery rhyme to recite.
