Job Description

Information & Learning Services (ILS) supports the University’s teaching, learning, research and administration activities, through the provision of innovative, high quality services, including information technology support and systems, library, administrative and learning resources.

The University of Salford is seeking a self-motivated and creative professional to play a key part in the implementation, customisation, integration and support of new and existing library business systems. Particular emphasis is on the analysis of out of the box software functionality and the development and design of appropriate customisation to meet user requirements.

Based in the Collections and Digital Developments Team, you will be required to communicate and work effectively with both technical and non-technical staff and students across ILS and the University. Educated to degree level or professional equivalent you will be a quick, self-motivated learner, with experience in a system development and support role. Knowledge of digital library systems and developments would be an advantage.
