Assistant Information Adviser

Job Description

Based in the Falmer Library, you will join a team assisting the Information Adviser in the provision of library support to teaching and research activities in schools on the Falmer site. You will contribute to the library enquiry service, provide an effective response to the full range of user enquiries and deliver user education programmes. You should have a professional qualification in library and information work and a good working knowledge and understanding of electronic information sources. You will have excellent communication skills with an enthusiasm for responding to user needs. Previous experience of providing library services is desirable. Some evening and weekend work will be required. Enhancements will be paid for weekend working. The post is temporary to cover a period of maternity leave. Job sharers welcome.
