Job Description

Coombes Croft Library a busy and dynamic facility located in the heart of Tottenham and is being redeveloped with the support of the Big Lottery Fund Communities Libraries Programme.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic individual to work with us to reach out and engage with the local community. The job will involve building on existing relationships within the community, developing new partnerships and taking forward a variety of projects and initiatives relating to libraries. You need to have the creative thrust to develop relationships between the library and the diverse and vibrant community which it serves.

You will work closely with the Culture, Libraries and Learning team, to develop and implement cultural and learning events and activities programme for the local community.

While the library is being rebuilt you will be based in the nearby offices of the Tottenham Hotspurs foundation.

The job will be a real but enjoyable challenge. If you are self-motivated, able to encourage and engage with disengaged and hard to reach communities, able to work with stakeholders and are willing to put in the effort (including some evenings and weekends), you will find the role to be uniquely fulfilling and rewarding.
