Wandsworth Library and Heritage Service aims to inspire the community by providing everyone with equal access to books, information, learning and online services through a quality library network. Our staff share in the success of a Council with an “excellent” rating and our Investor in People Award means we are committed to giving you the support you need to make the most of your job.We are looking for someone who can network with organisations across the borough to develop projects and find ways to bring new communities together with authors, historians and artists. You will need to enjoy outreach activities, working in partnership and have a sound knowledge of African Caribbean literature and culture and those of newer communities. As a member of the senior team at Battersea Library you will assist in managing and appraising staff, and undertake duties on public desks including local history and archives. A flexible approach to the working week is essential with two late evenings and alternate Saturdays.
