Job Description
Wandsworth Library and Heritage Service aims to inspire the community by providing everyone with equal access to books, information, learning and online services through a quality library network. Our staff share in the success of a Council with an “excellent” rating and our Investor in People Award means we are committed to giving you the support you need to make the most of your job.We need someone with a clear vision to help us develop services and to reach out and change lives through reading and learning in libraries. Effective ICT skills, reading development and stock promotion skills and recent experience of working in public libraries are essential.You must have excellent people and communication skills, and be committed to delivering improving public services through the implementation of customer care and equal opportunities policies. You need excellent time management skills and a flexible approach to the working week, which includes up to two evenings until 8.00pm and alternate Saturdays with opportunities working on Sundays.
