Job Description
Taking on the management of our newly refurbished space in John Harvard Library, you will work to open this exceptional resource to the world. This will include increasing public access, modernising customer service and developing and improving our collections to enhance their access and learning potential. A proven library or archive manager with considerable experience and a professional qualification, you should be well-versed in all aspects of modern local history /archive management such as information services, publications management , digital preservation and access and IT systems. You will also need excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage with the public, community groups, internal staff teams and external partners. This post focuses strongly on developing and transforming the public’s interest in and use of the Local History Library and Archive, and a track record of innovation and positive change management is essential.
